Meagan, Deagan, and Kailynn

Meagan Spatt shows leadership when she “Begins with the End in Mind.”  Meagan continues to work hard in her reading skills and is using more strategies to figure out unfamiliar words.  She always makes sure she is reading good fit books and for every book she reads at home, she is going to receive a loonie to donate to our Loonie Toonie Christmas!  What a wonderful idea!  Mrs. Litzenberger is very proud of you!

Deagan Murray shows leadership when he “Puts First Things First”.  Deagan has been improving in his reading skills by looking closely at vowel patterns, chunking sounds, using picture cues, and even self-correcting his errors.  Keep up the fabulous reading Deagan!

Kailyn Esteves shows leadership when she is being “Proactive.”   Kailyn is a wonderful member of our class who is always following the 7 habits.  She is a caring friend, strong worker who puts extra effort into all her work, and is willing to help others in need.  Thank you for being you Kailyn!  Congratualtions!

Swimming lessons

3L enjoyed 5 days of swimming lessons at Burman University in Lacombe.  We learned valuable life swimming skills from talented instructors.  Mrs. Litzenberger is proud of all of you in how much improvement you’ve shown in your swimming.  Way to go 3L!

Pumpkin Math and Spooktacular Jack o Lanterns!

The students enjoyed working on Math skills by estimating the number of lines, seeds, weight, and diameter for each pumpkin.  Then they had to count, weigh, or measure to see how close their estimates were to the actual answer.

In the afternoon, students were in groups to carve their pumpkins and did a fantastic job creating their jack o lanterns!

Sensational Sieves!

The students did an amazing job creating their own sieves at home.  We tested each sieve at school to see if they would separate small, medium, and large pieces of dirt.  The students were so creative!
