The students created musical instruments at home as their final project to our Hearing and Sound Unit. We enjoyed listening to different instruments and figuring out low, medium, and high pitches, as well as loud and quiet sounds. Great imaginations Grade 3’s!

Mr. McCrimmon stopped by our classroom for a visit and he brought a Bearded Dragon. We learned so much about this interesting reptile.
Grade 3’s, can you tell me 2 facts about this reptile. Looking forward to reading your comments!
The students created beautiful pictures of themselves catching snowflakes with their tongues. Oil pastels were used to create colorful winter sweaters and scarves. Awesome effort 3L! Your pictures are wonderful!
During Science today we created megaphones using paper and tape. With a partner we stood a few feet apart and whispered a sentence to each other. We could barely hear what our partner was saying to us. Then, we used our megaphones to say a new sentence. We learned that using the megaphones helped amplify (to make louder) our voices so our partner could hear us better.
Seth shows leadership when he puts “First Things First.” Seth has been working hard in Math by practicing his counting skills, sound patterns, taking turns, and learning the difference between a weekday and a weekend. Way to go Seth!
Ryan shows leadership when she “Begins with the End in Mind.” Ryan has done an amazing job in her reading skills and has worked hard in expanding her vocabulary during Daily 5. She reads at a smooth rate and is starting to use expression in her voice while reading. Answering inference type questions has been easy for Ryan. Mrs. Litzenberger is very proud of you!
NATE IS SHOWING LEADERSHIP WHEN HE BEGINS WITH THE END IN MIND. HE DID AN AMAZING JOB MAKING HIS PRESENTATION ON UKRAINIAN CHRISTMAS USING HIS CHROMEBOOK. HE INCLUDED LOTS OF DESCRIPTIVE DETAILS AND PROOFREAD FOR COMPLETE SENTENCES, CAPITALS, PERIODS, AND PROPER SPELLING. KEEP UP THE FABULOUS WORK NATE!
