As part of our Social Studies Program, we are learning about life in different countries around the world. Today Mrs. Laszuk brought in some artifacts from her time spent in Saudi Arabia. Many countries in the middle east have similar traditions and cultural experiences.
Culture is the way people live. The language you speak is part of your culture. So are the clothes you wear and the food you eat. The holidays and the festivals you celebrate are part of your culture, too. (Connecting with the World, Pearson Education 2005)
The students did an awesome job in creating their own unique instruments. We all enjoyed listening to the different pitches and volumes each instrument made. Students, please comment on our blog and answer the following questions.
1. Does a loose string make a high or low sound?
2. Does a tight string make a high or low sound?
3. Does a loose string make a slow or fast vibration?
4. Does a tight string make a slow or fast vibration?
